they were spending too much time inside our apartment. their playground at school is cement. sure there's a sandbox in the neighborhood park, but it's the size of a postage stamp. we heard them calling the hedge along the perimeter of this small square park was a forest.

plus their fingernails were too clean.

so we gave in to the inevitable and bought a house in the country with all its charming headaches and renovation anecdotes (peter mayle move over).
